 This course was developed by Dr. Kayla Steltenkamp, from Thomas Moore College in Northern Kentucky, in conjunction with the Kentucky Education Association.   In this course you will understand what constitutes the science of reading and structured literacy and better understand how the foundations of reading and literacy are developed.   This module should take you approximately one (1) hour to complete. THIS COURSE IS INTENDED FOR THOSE THAT HAVE  ATTAINED THEIR NATIONAL BOARD CERTIFICATION.   This training is presented by the Kentucky Education Association in conjunction with the Kentucky National Board Network.  The training uses materials and training suggestions adapted from The National Board for Professional Teaching.  These materials are used to assist current NBCT's with being prepared to assist new candidates in the certification process.   The Kentucky Education Association has teamed up with the Delaware Education Association to bring you this interactive course.    It should take approximately three (3) hours to fully complete and you will be asked to submit your work at the end for verification and approval.   This course reviews Classroom Management Strategies through a Trauma Informed Lens and is approved by the Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB).     Read more
